Traveling Healthy

Just got back from a week trip to Barbados.
On the way there it was a looooonnnngggg
flight. On the way back it became doubly
long when the last flight of the day was
cancelled. Bummer!

Tons of people got irate - lots of eye
rolling, sighs and cursing going on, but
it never really helps.

I've found that staying calm cool but firm
helps. When they said they had to give me
a flight for the next day, I politely
asked to be booked on another airline, which
they did. PLUS they gave me a $10 meal voucher
and $100 transportation voucher.

I could have gotten some greasy junky food
with the voucher, but I found a nice healthy
bottle of juice, whole grain muffin, protein
bar and fruit salad. I was happy as a clam
knowing I would have some food on the plane!

Overall, I do tons of travelling and follow
my old mentors advice - Paul Bragg - that
eating light is the way to go. Salads, soups,
fruit, etc does help to feel refreshed after
a long day of flying.

I used to have heavy hard to digest meals
at airports. Once on the plane I'd promptly
fall asleep and feel sluggish after the
plane landed. Plus I had that scummy feeling
in my mouth! Yuck!

When I stick to a more healthy plan, I only
need a light nap, plus I wake up feeling
refreshed and rested. It works folks!

Until next time,
